## Original hadith texts

The original Arabic texts of the hadith — from collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasa'i, and Sunan Ibn Majah — are classical religious works in the **public domain**. They belong to the global Muslim community and may be freely read, copied, and shared.

## Translations

English translations may be based on existing public domain translations or created and adapted by us. Where we have created or significantly modified translations, these are offered under the **Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0)** license — you are free to share and adapt the translated material for non-commercial purposes, with appropriate credit to Random Hadith, a link to the license, and an indication of any changes.

## Website code, design & brand

The source code that powers this website is **proprietary and not open source**; it may not be copied, modified, redistributed, reverse-engineered, or reused to create competing services without express written permission. The visual design, layout, illustrations, iconography, and overall user interface are protected by copyright. The "Random Hadith" name, logo, taglines, and associated marks are protected.

## Permitted uses
