"‏ لَسْتُ بِآكِلِهِ وَلاَ مُحَرِّمِهِ ‏"

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was asked about the eating of (the flesh) of the lizard, whereupon he said: I am neither the eater of it nor its prohibitor.
