"‏ الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْيَبُ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ ‏"

The Prophet [SAW] said: "Wear white garments, for they are purer and better, and shroud your dead in them."
