The Book of Adornment
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ بِغَيْرِ إِحْرَامٍ .
On the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah [SAW] entered (the city) wearing a black turban, and he was not in Ihram.
