Prescribed Punishments (Kitab Al-Hudud)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَالأَوَّلُ أَتَمُّ قَالَ فَرَدَّهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ . قَالَ سِمَاكٌ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ رَدَّهُ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ .
I heard this tradition from Jabir b. Samurah. But the first version is more perfect. This version has: He repeated twice, Simak said: I narrated to Sa’id b. Jubair. He said: He repeated it four times.
