The Book on Legal Punishments (Al-Hudud)
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ عَمْرَةُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقْطَعُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مَرْفُوعًا وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ مَوْقُوفًا .
That the Prophet (ﷺ) used to cut the hand for a fourth of a Dinar and beyond that.
