The Book on Jihad
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ وَالضَّرْبِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
"The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited branding on the face and striking (it)." [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
