Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا نَائِلُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَهَى أَنْ يُلْبَسَ السِّلاَحُ فِي بِلاَدِ الإِسْلاَمِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونُوا بِحَضْرَةِ الْعَدُوِّ .
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade wearing weapons in the Muslim lands on the two ‘Eid, except if the enemy was present.
