"‏ صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، إِنِّي أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالَّتِي بَعْدَهُ ‏"

“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.”
