"‏ يَا غُلاَمُ هَذِهِ أُمُّكَ وَهَذَا أَبُوكَ ‏"

the Prophet (ﷺ) gave a child the choice between his father and his mother (i.e., which parent to live with). He said: “O boy, this is your mother and this is your father.”
