"‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ‏"

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari, and my Hawari is Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam."

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَزَادَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِيهِ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ قَالَ ‏"‏ مَنْ يَأْتِينَا بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَنَا ‏.‏ قَالَهَا ثَلاَثًا قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَنَا ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari and, [indeed], my Hawari is Az-Zubair [bin Al-'Awwam]." And Abu Na'im added in it: "On the Day of Al-Ahzab, he (ﷺ) said: 'Who will bring us news about their party?' Az-Zubair said: 'I will.' He said it three times. Az-Zubair said (each time): 'I will.'"

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ أَوْصَى الزُّبَيْرُ إِلَى ابْنِهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ صَبِيحَةَ الْجَمَلِ فَقَالَ مَا مِنِّي عُضْوٌ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ جُرِحَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ حَتَّى انْتَهَى ذَاكَ إِلَى فَرْجِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ‏.‏

"On the Day of (the battle of) Al-Jamal, Az-Zubair exhorted his son 'Abdullah, saying: 'There is not a part of me except that it has been injured while with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ),' until that ended with his private parts.

"‏ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ‏"

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, 'Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Sa'eed bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise."

"‏ عَشَرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَطَلْحَةُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ‏"

from his father, that Sa'eed bin Zaid reported to him, while in a group of people, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Ten are in Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise. 'Ali and 'Uthman are in Paradise. Az-Zubair and Talhah, 'Abdur-Rahman, Abu 'Ubaidah and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas" - He said: "So he counted these nine and was silent concerning the tenth - so the people said: 'We implore you by Allah, O Abu Al-A'war, who is the tenth?' He said: 'You have implored me by Allah. Abu Al-A'war is in Paradise.'" [Abu 'Eisa] said: [Abu Al-A'war] he is Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail. I heard Muhammad saying: "It is more correct than the first Hadith."

"‏ إِنَّ أَمْرَكُنَّ مِمَّا يُهِمُّنِي بَعْدِي وَلَنْ يَصْبِرَ عَلَيْكُنَّ إِلاَّ الصَّابِرُونَ ‏"

from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: "Indeed your affair [feminine plural: referring to the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ)] is from that which concerns me after me, and none shall be able to be patient concerning you except the patient ones." He said: "Then 'Aishah said: 'So may Allah give your father drink from the Salsabil of Paradise" intending 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf (Abu Salamah is the son of 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf). And he had maintained ties with the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) with property that had been sold for forty-thousand.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، أَوْصَى بِحَدِيقَةٍ لأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِيعَتْ بِأَرْبَعِ مِئَةِ أَلْفٍ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏

that 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf left a garden for the Mothers of the Believers that was sold for four-hundred thousand.

حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُذْرِيُّ، - بَصْرِيٌّ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لِسَعْدٍ إِذَا دَعَاكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لِسَعْدٍ إِذَا دَعَاكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ ‏.‏

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "O Allah, respond to Sa'd when he supplicates to You."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَقْبَلَ سَعْدٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ هَذَا خَالِي فَلْيُرِنِي امْرُؤٌ خَالَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُجَالِدٍ ‏.‏ وَكَانَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ فَلِذَلِكَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ هَذَا خَالِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏

"Sa'd came, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "This is my maternal uncle, so let a man show me his maternal uncle."

"‏ ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي وَقَالَ لَهُ ارْمِ أَيُّهَا الْغُلاَمُ الْحَزَوَّرُ ‏"

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not mention both (his) parents for anyone except Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas. On the Day of (the battle of) Uhud he said: 'Shoot, may my father and mother be ransomed for you.' And he said to him: 'Shoot O young man.'"
