" إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَأَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَاجْعَلِ الْمَاءَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِ يَدَيْكَ وَرِجْلَيْكَ "
'The Messenger of Allah said: 'When you get up for prayer, perform ablution properly and make the water run between your toes and your fingers.'"
" أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَخَلِّلْ بَيْنَ الأَصَابِعِ "
"The Messenger of Allah said: perform ablution properly and let the water run between your fingers."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ حَرَّكَ خَاتَمَهُ .
Whenever the Messenger of Allah performed ablution, he moved his ring.
" وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ "
"The Messenger of Allah saw some people performing ablution, and their heels were dry. He said: 'Woe to the heels because of Hell-fire, perform ablution properly!'"
" وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ "
The Messenger of Allah said: 'Woe to the heels because of Hell-fire.'"
" وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ "
"Aishah saw 'Abdur-Rahman performing abluti0on, and she said: Perform ablution properly, for I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Woe to the Achilles' tendon because of Hell-fire.'"
" وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ "
The Prophet said: "Woe to the heels because of Hell-fire."
" وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ "
"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Woe to the Achilles' tendon because of Hell-fire."
" أَتِمُّوا الْوُضُوءَ وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ "
They all heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Complete the ablution. Woe to the heels because of Hell-fire."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ طُهُورَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ .
"I saw 'Ali performing ablution and he washed his feet up to the ankles, then he said: 'I wanted to show you how your Prophet purified himself.'"
