The Book of Marriage
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ، أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَنْزِلُ . زَادَ إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَوْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يُنْهَى عَنْهُ لَنَهَانَا عَنْهُ الْقُرْآنُ.
We used to practise 'azl while the Qur'an was revealed (during the days when the Prophet was alive).
