The Book of Sacrifices
" لاَ يَأْكُلْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ لَحْمِ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ "
None of you should eat the flesh of his sacrificial animal beyond three days.
