The Book of Drinks
أَخْبَرَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، عَنِ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَا أُبَالِي شَرِبْتُ الْخَمْرَ أَوْ عَبَدْتُ هَذِهِ السَّارِيَةَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
That his father used to say: "I do not see any difference between drinking Khamr and worshipping this column instead of Allah the Mighty and Sublime."
