"‏ إِذَا وَقَعَتْ رَمِيَّتُكَ فِي مَاءٍ فَغَرِقَ فَمَاتَ فَلاَ تَأْكُلْ ‏"

The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: When the animal at which you shot falls in water, is drowned, and dies, do not eat.
