Chapter 27Hadith 3695Topic:Drinks (Kitab Al-Ashribah)

"‏ لاَ تَشْرَبُوا فِي نَقِيرٍ وَلاَ مُزَفَّتٍ وَلاَ دُبَّاءٍ وَلاَ حَنْتَمٍ وَاشْرَبُوا فِي الْجِلْدِ الْمُوكَإِ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنِ اشْتَدَّ فَاكْسِرُوهُ بِالْمَاءِ فَإِنْ أَعْيَاكُمْ فَأَهْرِيقُوهُ ‏"

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not drink from hollowed stumps, vessel smeared with pitch, pumpkins, and green jars, but drink from a skin which is tied with string. If the drink ferments, lighten it by infusing water. If you are helpless, then pour it away.
