حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الأَنْصَارِيّ َ ـ وَهُوَ جَدُّهُ أَبُو أُمِّهِ ـ قَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ النُّهْبَى وَالْمُثْلَةِ‏.‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade robbery (taking away what belongs to others without their permission), and also forbade mutilation (or maiming) of bodies.
